The Lasko 20" Premium Box Fan 3-SPEED is an outstanding box fan. This fan has great quality for the amount of money spent (yes it has plastic parts, but it it doesn't rattle even at the high setting even after constant use over an extended period of time). It's easy to take apart and clean, it can be used as a inexpensive but effective air purifier (by duct taping an air filter to the back which another reviewer also mentioned), and it makes a great white noise generator for use while sleeping. And as a fan, it moves a lot of air! I've had one for a little over a year running for an average of 10 hours a day every day with no problems.
