Size:
I have 2 cats. One Siamese and one regular tiger striped. The Siamese is fairly small (9 lbs max She is petite.) and it fits her, it just has to be cinched pretty tight, I suppose if she really tried she could slip out of it, but she isn't in it longer than a minute for grooming, so it's not an issue).
The other cat is larger and (12 lbs) and it fits him perfectly.
Function:
It works well. I was surprised there was no mesh on the eyes for seeing. It's like a big muzzle/blinder. They can't see at all. I am a little uncomfortable having them blinded as that seems to make them a little apprehensive, but it works for clipping their nails (they don't know which paw you are going for).
Tips:
Pet your cat before you put it on them tell them positive things in a loving voice, get them purring, and then put it on. Then after you are done grooming, pet them and get them to purr again. Then, while they are still purring, take it off. This way they don't have negative emotions when they see it. They won't resist it. It works!
They should have this warning on the packaging (though I hope no one would do this anyway):
Don't leave your cats in it for long. If they had a hairball or vomited, they could suffocate/choke to death because their little mouths aren't allowed to open.
The material isn't as breathable as I thought it would be.
Overall, I like it.
