Customer Review: Stainless steel, keeps hot food hot and doesn't leak.

I have used two of these now for the last year for sending hot foods to school for my two sons aged 8 and 10. We have also used the Laptop Lunches bento box system for the past two years. My boys are good eaters and the capacity of these food jars was perfect for them. Both worked great for us up until the last two months of school this year when one of the lids blew a gasket -- that is, I can't get the little piece of plastic in the lid to stay in where it belongs. That said, it still hasn't leaked, but it is a pain now to close properly.I have always washed them by hand and the other one is still fine. Both truly kept food hot from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 or 12:30 -- we never tried it out longer than that. In fact, if I preheated the container (put in hot water for 5 min. and then pour it out) and then put in the soup or chili steaming hot, the boys said it was TOO HOT at lunch -- so after that I only preheated if the food was warm, but not hot. All in all, a pretty good deal considering the amount of use we got out of them. If it would have lasted longer I would have given it 5 stars.
