I like this small julienne slicer which helps in producing fine julienne slices with less effort. However, I don't think the hand guard works well. Although I know the blade is ultra sharp, I have to slice vegetables with my bare hand carefully, and cut the remainder with knife if I don't want to be wasteful or hurt my hand. So far it is a good helper in the kitchen.Customer Review: Moderately pleased

I found this item difficult to use. Instructions would have helped condiserably. I tried to julienne a green apple for a slaw recipe and it only clumped up and would not separate easily. I had to finish cutting the apple for the recipe by hand. I can only hope other vegetables will be easier to maneuver. Clean up was fine.Customer Review: great tool
