Customer Review: Ceramic Mill is Hi-Tech, but this grinder gets a ZERO STARS

When I told my son, an accomplished cook, that I had never in my life had a pepper mill that ground pepper correctly, he wondered if I had considered a ceramic mill, vs usual ones with standard steel grinder elements. I said no, but told him I would consider it. (Secretly, I was thrilled to have another chance to at last have a good, consistent pepper grinder.)
So,I found this Kyocera Coarse Grind Yellow model online, and ordered it. Sadly, it compared well with my long string of flawed pepper mills; it failed to yield usable amounts of ground pepper! I checked out the throat of the grinder and found it way too small to accept a standard, even smallish, peppercorn. Thus, I have to shake the mill vigorously just to get a single, smallish peppercorn into the grinder gears. So every 5-10 seconds I get sporadic puffs of coarse pepper coming out.
Bottom LIne - totally unacceptable performance. For some reason this evaluation form discourages NO stars, but that is where I would rank it.
Another reviewer on this site had a similar experience, but just switched over to using it to grind salt. (I just returned it, as I cannot bear supporting bad design with good money)
