Customer Review: I AM the boyfriend.

It is sad but true. This potato grater failed both my girlfriend and I. It creates potato mush. And skinned knuckles. ZERO beautiful shreds of potato for kugel, pancakes, latkes or anything else. THEN, because you bought this around Christmas and didn't use it right away, you get to hunt for Kuchenprofi on the internets, where you find two different email contacts. You use them to inform Kuchenprofi that you'd like them to provide potato graters which actually grate potatoes. You hear NOTHING. NO RESPONSE. From EITHER email address. So...you log onto Amazon and you try. You TRY to help others avoid the mistake you have made in purchasing this product and trying to deal with this poor vendor. Can you hear me now?
UPDATE:
A month and a half ago, my girlfriend and I tried these graters and found that they did NOT grate. We dealt with Jeff and Leslie at KPUSA and were told that these graters had "NEVER had a complaint" and that "Kuchenprofi Germany says you must have grated the wrong type of potatoes for this item to fail". So I purchased them again, determined to learn whether we had gotten a bad lot of graters, or had we both inadvertently tried to grate the "UNgratable potatoes"?
With two new graters, we grated (um...ATTEMPTED to grate...) four additional potato varieties beyond the original two. We took photos and video, and we sent these off to Leslie at KPUSA. They proved beyond all doubt that this item does NOT grate ANY potato. And now has at least TWO complaints.
Leslie was resistant to providing a refund, or any compensation for our very negative experience. She also declined to provide me a quality assurance contact/product manager at KPGermany.
We have now learned twice that this grater is illegally and dishonestly incompetent, and that KPUSA does not want to hear about it or deal with it in an honest and helpful manner, will continue to sell it, and is not going to deal with Linda and I in any positive manner.
So I wrote this review. And bought my sweetheart and I new graters elsewhere. They work really well. KPUSA remains dishonestly unhelpful and disinterested. So far as I know, KPGermany is ignorant both of the performance of this product and their agent in America.
