I bought this egg cooker for my boyfriend, as he had developed a passion for boiled eggs but had trouble timing them correctly on the stovetop. The first one I bought had the timer buzzer go out after the warranty had expired, but Amazon replaced it free anyway. This second one has now cooked many an egg and performs flawlessly. I love how it takes so little water and always cooks the eggs perfectly. The designers of this cooker thought things out, too - the egg piercer is built into the bottom of the water measurer and is recessed so as not to poke fingers. I bought myself a cooker from Wal-Mart and it has the piercer right on top where the eggs go. And yes, I've accidently poked myself. Wish I'd bought another Krups instead.Customer Review: Attractive design

This egg cooker provides a convenient means of cooking eggs properly, something that should be easy on a stove top but usually isn't. This cooker tends to cook eggs a little more that the instructions suggest. If you want a soft-boiled egg, go with the measurements for really soft eggs and you'll get medium soft. The little poaching trays work really well, but once again go easy on the estimate for cooking time. Two things: Both times I've hard-boiled eggs, one of them has broken. Also, piercing the shell before hard boiling the eggs as instructed does not prevent a slight greening of the yolks (and I was using really fresh, free-range eggs). Since this is the first one of these things I've had, I can't compare it with anything.Customer Review: Perfect everytime

Coming from Germany I love a soft boiled egg in the morning. Since I was a child we owned egg cookers. After 25 years and 20 moves, mine finally died and I bought another Krups. I do not use the "keep warm" feature, so I cannot rate it, but the cooker makes a perfect egg every time. It is foolproof enough to be used by "non-cooks". Since I use regular tap water a small amount of residue is quickly wiped with a wet paper towel from the non-stick interior. My daughter loves to start the egg cooker, the coffee maker and pop in a toast; then get ready for work. The audible alarm alerts her that breakfast is ready. How easy is that? A quick rinse and everything is ready for the next day. Definitely a 10 on the rating scale.Customer Review: rockin' eggs

Since I am a single guy who only "cooks" with a microwave I thought I would give this a shot. I LOVE IT! This puppy makes the perfect hard boiled eggs every time, and it could not be easier. Put in water w/the measuring device provided, put in eggs, put on lid, turn knob on and go watch TV. Soon the timer goes off and after running the eggs under cold water for a few minutes voila'! I only have 2 other things to say about this item. 1)I have found that when using the "shell prick" that is on the end of the measurer the eggs tend to explode and can get over done. I have not used this since the first time and have gotten intact perfectly done eggs every time. 2)The tray holds seven eggs? Why not six? Doesn't matter. This is far better then any Oster or domestic brands. This is German engineering at its best! - It cooks the egg9s0 perfectly, has a sounding buzzer when the eggs are done. It looks good. It looks clean. A place for the cable to wrap on the bottom. Williams Sonoma, sears, you name it - DOES NOT carry in Canada. Krups Canada - doesn't carry it either. Go figure, Thank God for my seller and Amazon!!!
Go and buy one - I bought 3!! You will not regret. The eggs cooker is a healthy and fun way and efficient way to cook your soft, medium or hard eggs. Much easier then the stove top!!
