Customer Review: Replacement carafe worse than existing carafe

We purchased this Krups F15B0G carafe to replace a defective carafe that came with our coffee maker. With the original carafe you could not pour coffee without dripping all down the side of the glass portion onto the counter. Ultimately, the entire handle separated from the glass as it is only glued on in two places. After seeing the replacement, the original also had a improperly formed pouring spout. Krups would not replace without us returning the original carafe for replacement and they said that would take a month, leaving us without a coffee maker. We decided to purchase a replacement ourselves. The replacement came from Small Appliance which is another bad story (see my review of them). The replacement carafe had the handle and lid glued on off center of the spout and the two-piece handle was separated at the seam almost half way from top to bottom. This replacement showed Krups poor quality control. We are just going to replace the entire coffee maker as soon as we run through the six extra water filters we just purchased (they are not cheap). I would recommend that you AVOID ALL KRUPS PRODUCTS AND PURCHASE FROM A MANUFACTURER THAT CARES!
