it grinds coffee. if this doesn't make this coffee grinder a complete success, i don't know what would. i know, i know, "you stupid no-taste barbarian! you can't even consider it grinding unless you've got the lo-flo reciprocating speed controller and twin tungsten blades. more like a 'coffee butcherer'!" to which i reply, shut up, shut up, shut up. this does good work, it's of a good capacity, it doesn't get hot, and the only reason i bought a new one was that i lost my old one -- very reliable krups is. ...Customer Review: This broke in less than 2 months!

I would NOT recommend this product. I used mine less than 2 months, averaging about once per week, and it broke last week. I am totally dissatisfied with this product. On top of that, I found out that Amazon will NOT replace it for me since it has been over 30 days. I feel that this is unreasonable. If I had purchased it at a retail store, I would definitely be able to get an exchange, if not a refund. Do NOT buy this product if you grind coffee often or if you want something that will last more than a few times!Customer Review: Quick, solid construction, "Fresh Coffee"

Quick, Solid construction, and very easy to use. If want a grinder that works quickly, then this inexpensive Unit is excellent. I would rate this item a FIVE star if it were easier to clean. If you grind the beans too long, then you get a fine powder that is difficult to clean. You may have to experiment with the length of grinding your coffee beans to get the right texture for your coffee maker, but overall, this is a very good product that will serve anyone who wants a Fresh cup in the morning very well.

My chiropractor advised that if I ground my vitamin tablets, I'd absorb them better and get better results. She recommended using a coffee grinder. I bought a cheap one at the local Rite-Aid, which broke down in the first five minutes. Then I went to a department store and bought the Krups coffee grinder. I use it every single day to grind up my vitamins, and I agree with my chiropractor - I'm getting better results from the vitamins by doing this. (But of course, use a separate grinder for coffee!)Customer Review: goes on forever

I have a Krups coffee grinder that is the earlier version of this one, looks almost identical, and have been using it for 21 years! Grinds fine expresso grind in about 15 seconds, drip grind in less: And fresh ground coffee is really really good. Although the ad says you can also grind nuts and spices, I do not recommend going back and forth between the coffee and nuts as the fine particles of one get mixed in with the other.
Grinds really well, lasts forever. What more can you ask?
