Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Krups 203-70 Electric Coffee and Spice Grinder with Stainless-Steel blades, White

Customer Review: Blade broke off
Summary: 1 Stars

Well is was only $20 but I expected more from Krups. It was very lightly used, maybe ten times over about a year. It has only had coffee in it and Im a very tolerant and careful user. I tried it last week, it made an godawful noise which turned out to be the blade impacting the metal lining. It had seemingly worn through the lining. The blade then broke off on the second attempt. Hard to clean anyway as the blade it not removable, so its an excuse to buy another. Wont buy Krups anything again though. At $2 a grind I may as well go to Starbucks. Complete crap.

Customer Review: Nice Koffee Grinder
Summary: 5 Stars

Nice coffee grinder. You have to be careful of "over-grinding". Beans that are turned into "powder" don't brew very well. They clump up and foul the filter.

Pulse the motor until you have the correct consistency. You learn by trial and error...

I prefer to brew right after grinding. Sitting overnight on a timer for morning, looses some of the flavor...

I looked at other types of grinders but most very expensive. I never buy anything without checking Amazon first... Nine times out of 10, Amazon has the best deal....

Customer Review: goes on forever
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a Krups coffee grinder that is the earlier version of this one, looks almost identical, and have been using it for 21 years! Grinds fine expresso grind in about 15 seconds, drip grind in less: And fresh ground coffee is really, really good. This machine is so reliable, trouble free and easy to use. Although the ad says you can also grind nuts and spices, I do not recommend going back and forth between the coffee and nuts as the fine particles of one get mixed in with the other.
Grinds really well, lasts forever. What more can you ask?

Customer Review: Krups Grinder
Summary: 3 Stars

This is the forth one we have had. At under 20 bucks they're not too bad. We don't use it much for coffee beans. I like to make my own bread crumbs and it seems to work well for that. However, we have had them delivered with the blades bent and hitting the base, and when you shake it to move things up and down in them (they are very small) to get the contents all "grinded" they don't seem to like it much. I think that for something that costs less than two coffees and two bagels at a good shop and lasts over a year is just fine!

Customer Review: Not bad for a little grinder
Summary: 4 Stars

This grinder served me well for 3 years and then one of the metal blades chipped, leaving me to wonder if bits of it went into my coffee grinds-? No settings for fine or coarse but for common sense: the longer you grind, the finer your ground of beans. Easy to use, coffee spills all over when you uncap it but it's no different from all the other grinders I've used in this price range so no points off. A decent product. Nice oval shape makes it easy to grip. Nowhere to hide or get cord out of the way but to wind it and use a twist-tie.
