Thumbs up on this sandwich maker. I've had this for years and I love the small size and convenience of making grilled cheese sandwiches in a pinch. Be sure to butter the outside pieces of bread that lay directly against the grill as to keep them from burning -- just a light spread will do. My kids love to even put apple pie filling inside pieces of bread for a quick treat! Mmmmmm! The clean up time is nothing too -- just take a piece of towel paper and wipe it clean! Great to give as a gift which is how I received mine!

This appliance takes all the guesswork out of the process and makes satisfying your appetite a simple and speedy affair.

At lunch or at midnight, grilling two hot sandwiches is a snap with this simple electric appliance. Butter four slices of bread (or brush them with olive oil), place the bottom slices in the preheated grills, pile on any filling--ham and cheddar, peanut butter and jelly, mozzarella and tomato--top with the remaining bread, close the lid, and the sandwich maker grills top and bottom simultaneously. About four minutes later, depending on the degree of browning desired, the two sandwiches come out piping hot. Nonstick for easy cleanup, the two grills each measure 5 by 4-1/4 inches. For safety, the handle stays cool during operation. Overall, the sandwich maker is 9 inches wide by 3-3/4 inches high by 9 inches deep, and its handle locks for compact, upright storage. --Fred Brack
