I purchased this to replace a portafilter in a Breville 800ESXL. This filter is well made and makes a more balanced coffee than the pressurized stock filter for my 800ESXL. This produced less creme but with a fine grind and a heavy tamp makes a good amount of creme. The only issues I had were that with more angled side wall I have to double tamp and then add more loose grounds to get the proper level. If the level is too low too much water builds up on top and if too high the pressure builds up and blows the basket out letting plain water run through.Customer Review: Unpressurized filter fits Krups XP series

Yes! This is the real filter to use with the Krups XP (4030 in my case) espresso machine. It is the unpressurized version, single layer with multiple holes. Allows you to tamp down a real shot and get real crema, unlike the pressurized double layer single hole filter that came with the machine (and makes fake crema and pulls a shot in like 5 seconds then clogs). Fits 51mm groups. Yes! real shots finally....Customer Review: great for breville machines

bought this to replace the annoying pressurized portafilter basket of the Breville Roma etc machines. It fits perfectly and improves your espresso quality from fake crema to a real one that is generated by proper pressure and coffee quality. This of course requires you to have a good grinder and tamper so that you can generate a proper coffee puck...Customer Review: "2 Cups"? I don't think so.

I bought this to replace the standard double wall filter basket on my XP4050. It fits in the portafilter, and makes a decent cup of coffee. However, it is much too small for 14+ grams (double shot) of ground coffee.
I'm now on the hunt for a propper 2 cup basket.
