Like probably most other people, I bought this as a replacement for the pressurized portafilter that came with my Breville 800ESXL. It works much much better than the stock filter, with a few caveats:
- Holes are just a tiny bit too big which leaves some fine grounds in the espresso.
- Not really a "2-cup" filter, more like 1.5, but this doesn't bother me too much.
- Not a perfect tight fit in the Breville holder, which makes it prone to falling out if you bang it too hard while emptying.
Either way, for the price this is a huge improvement on the pressurized portafilter and will completely change the way your Breville makes espresso shots. Recommended.
