Customer Review: Nice little veggie cutters
Summary: 5 Stars
These are sturday, stamped metal cutters for making garnishes from vegetables. Slice radishes or carrots (or maybe something else, but that's all that comes to mind immediately) and then cut these into a garnishes: stars, birds, and some abstract scalloped rounds.
I debated rating these 4 stars. After all, they are just stamped stainless steel and not really a reason to dance in the streets. But then, I thought, "could have been stamped tin" so I realized the quality was as good as it gets for a product like this, so if you can't do better, it deserves 5 stars.
That said, this was my very first order goofed by Amazon..... but in my favor. I was sent one box, but the packager clearly didn't understand that the "box" to be shipped was inside the box actually shipped. So I got 10 of this product instead of 1. I can see how the goof could have happened since the actual product is in a box only about 2.5"x1.5"x1"... that's tiny. I know I'm legally allowed to keep them, but I don't roll that way, so I guess I need to figure out how to ask Amazon what to do with the 9 extra. This is one of those things where more is not necessarily good (especially when I've run out of kitchen cabinet space). So, I'll take a moment to tell a joke that came to mind with this error:
A drunk finds a bottle, uncorks it in hopes of finding more booze. Out poofs a genie. "I am the genie of the bottle. I shall grant you two wishes!" The drunk says "I wish for a never-ending bottle of good wiskey." A bottle appears in his hand. He takes a big long swig from the bottle, then looks and sees that it's still full. "Thanksh a lot, Mr. Genie" and he starts to walk off. "Wait," says the genie, "what do you want for your other wish?" The drunk shrugs and says, "I'll have another one of these."
With that, if you're wanting a simple, inexpensive garnishing tool for sushi plates or other fancy dishes, you want this. After this review is reviewed, I suspect you'll just get what's advertised.
