This spatula looks great from the picture and I was expecting a lot more for the price and Kitchen Aid brand name, however my spatula snapped in half while mixing some bread dough within the first few months of use. It looks like one solid piece of plastic, but the shaft narrows considerably in the middle near that silver ring. This makes it much weaker for tougher jobs when you have to use a little extra elbow grease to move things around. Another annoying defect is the removeable head piece. I'm not sure why the designers created this feature, but it ends up being extremely bothersome when the head of the spatula comes off with only minimal effort. Do yourself a favor and avoid buying this spatula.
