I have had my KA mixer for a little over a month now and I find it a pretty nifty thing to have for an active baker's kitchen. It saved me a lot of elbow greasing and I turn to it every chance I get. Once you get used to how it works, maybe a couple of trials, you just dump things in it, turn it on and let it be. It does the job. ( Maybe the newer models could consider adding a timer too? ) The sturdiness of the mixer assures me it can take on the world! ;-) Seriously, it is amazing how it mixes everything in together. And yes, like another reviewer said, it hops a little when making firm doughs, but it is in no danger of falling from the countertop. As of now, I have the basic attachments of flat paddle, whisk and the dough hook but I plan on getting the pouring lid too. The tilt head is a lifesaver and it is so easy to operate. The mixing bowl is wide, deep and very easy to clean. The only drawback I can think of is that, you will need to use a minimum of 1 and 1/2 cups of flour to get a decent dough. (Maybe it can be fixed by tweaking attachment height adjuster which I have personally never tried.)
