Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KSB465OB 4-Speed Countertop Blender with 48-Ounce Polycarbonate Jar, Onyx BlackCustomer Review: Very Pleased Summary: 5 Stars
After several weeks of viewing comments and reviews for various blenders we purchased the Kitchen Aid in December. The unit is exactly what we needed and operates as expected. We use it daily for smoothie preparation and haven't had any issues.
The only recommendation would be to place the lid on the top rack of the dishwasher. The manual indicates the lid is dishwasher safe but we had a very slight warp after the second wash. It could just be due to the high water temp during the winter months. So we now wash the lid on the top shelf and have had no issues.
Very happy with our Kitchen Aid Blender!
Customer Review: Rubber/plastic pieces didn't last Summary: 1 Stars
This blender did a great job but after it had been put on the base and not firmly seated twice the blender no longer worked. The problem is that if your not very careful it is easy to put the blender on the base and not have it firmly seated. When that happens plastic parts start flying. The grinding noise is terrible and even though we quickly stopped the machine after this happened, the second occurrence was to render the machine inoperable. The worst part is that both connecting parts have taken ware.
Customer Review: So far, so good :) Summary: 5 Stars
I got this blender about 3 weeks ago. I use it about 3 times/week. So far it has been great. It crushes my ice completely so that there are no large chunks in my shake. It is very easy to use. I will come back and write another review in 6 months. Hopefully it will still be working as good :)
Customer Review: Don't Believe the Hype Summary: 1 Stars
If I could give it zero stars I would. Had it for only a couple of months and the seal began leaking and comes loose every time I use it. Blending for smoothies has been extremely poor and the unit just doesn't seem to operate smoothly. I will never by this brand of blender again.
Customer Review: Good choice Summary: 5 Stars
This blender does everything I want it to do without straining the motor the way my other blenders did. It's the next best thing to a commercial blender.
