Customer Review: Best Kitchen Appliance Ever!!

I have wanted a KitchenAid countertop stand mixer for years. I never bought one because the price was always out of my range. I'm SO GLAD I checked out Amazon the day after Christmas!! I got the stand mixer of my dreams-the Accolade 400 in Cinnamon for the amazing price of $154.95 with FREE shipping and no sales tax. I received it really fast, 12-29-05, and of course I had to try it right away. I made a double batch of chocolate chip cookies right away and it was amazing!! I had borrowed my sisters KitchenAid Ultra so that I could do my double batches of Christmas Cookies-this has not been the 1st time I've used KitchenAid stand mixers. I use to work for a catering facility that had used/reconditioned KitchenAid appliances and loved working with them then.
The mixer is noiser than the Ultra, but I can live with that. Knowing that this has metal gears and should last my lifetime and possibly beyond, I think it's worth it. The first few times you use it, it will stink-but that will go away.
I wasn't sure about the cinnamon color, but it doesn't have a high-gloss shiney finish, and once I unpacked it and cleaned it and started using it, the color has grown on me. It's definately a keeper.
The pour shield is a must!! My sister didn't have one for hers, and after using mine and seeing how great it works, I ordered one for hers as a "thank you" gift for letting me borrow it, and she just has to have one anyway-seeing how great it is. I don't know why that doesn't come with ALL the stand mixers-that should be standard equipment like the bowl and beater attachments.
The possibilities of this item are endless-the many additional attachments you can use on this is amazing!! A person could really get carried away!!
