How difficult is it to make a solid toaster without all the bells and whistles? We selected this toaster for our wedding registry last year. It lasted 16 months. It toasts unevenly. It sucks. Now it doesn't work at all. The only positive I have to say is it looks nice and matches our appliances. We're planning on going with the $15 Proctor and Silex. Stay away from this over-priced unevenly toasted garbage!!!

I looked at a few toasters before settling on this one to replace our old one that died. The toaster functions the way you want and the feature that allows toasting on one side of the bread is nice. The size of the toaster seems a little big but this does not bother me since we have ample countertop space. I like the appearance of the toaster and it's relatively easy to clean.

It makes good toast (minimum requirement for a toaster), but we've just cracked another of the black plastic levers that you use to operate it. We replaced the first one; I've put tape on this one. Seems that if you buy this toaster, you'd better plan to spend as much money in replacement levers as you do on the toaster itself. We don't even make that much toast!

After just completinhg a complete kitchen renovation going with Black & Stainless appliances, we wanted to replace all of our kitchen tools and small electric appliances with nice looking, great functioning item. This Kitchen-Aid toaster in black and stainless looks great and is made extremely well. It adds to the appeance of our new kitch and is very functional.

I ordered and received this item only to find it dented in multiple locations. The process to return was very efficient, but unfortunately the second item was also damaged. I communicated with Amazon.com and it was apparent that it was a manufacturer packaging or a handling problem. I chose not to reorder but to purchase in store so I can see what I am buying.
