Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KHM5DH 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer, White

Customer Review: What a breeze!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this mixer. ... I make cut-out cookies on a regular basis and the mixer I had was not adequate...I had to hand mix the flour into the batter...Not with this mixer. No need to worry about getting my hands dirty. I have also used the dough hooks for making bread and was very pleased. I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone. ...

Customer Review: A lifetime appliance and great value
Summary: 5 Stars

Like many of you, I've used handmixers that seem to "run out of steam" when confronted with heavy mixtures. Not this model! It's strong, is handsomely styled, priced well, and designed for a lifetime of use in the kitchen. Why go through three or more cheap handmixers when you can purchase one classic mixer that you can always rely upon?

Customer Review: Lots of Power, no wasted counter space
Summary: 5 Stars

This little machine has all the power of it's big counterpart (it even can knead bread dough!), but the convenience of a hand mixer. I love the Kitchenaid stand mixer, but I admit, I use this little guy a lot more often. Clean up is a breeze with the open beaters. No more dirty center bar. A wonderful product.

Customer Review: SO POWERFUL
Summary: 5 Stars

This mixer was much more powerful than I expected. I bake bread every week and this little bit of a machine hangs in there until the bloody end! I did not opt to buy the dough hooks. I don't find I need them. The whisk attachment is great for whipping egg whites and creams. I'm quite attached to this gadget.

Customer Review: "Ultra Power" is puny mixer . . . made in China
Summary: 1 Stars

This mixer is rated .6 amps which is 72 watts of power. It claims to have a sensor to maintain speeds, but slows at lowest speed with simple mashed potatoes. Most mixers have 200 watts of power and many 300 watts. It disappoints that Kitchen Aid would market such an item. I should have gotten the Cuisenart!
