Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender, WhiteCustomer Review: Kitchen joy Summary: 5 Stars
I had this blender for about a month now, and it works wonderfully! The blender crushes and blends like crazy, no matter whether it is a piece of boiled carrot or a whole frozen strawberry, as long as it is immersed in liquid. You do not need a bulky countertop blender to make frozen drinks, it crushes ice and frozen fruits in less than 30 seconds. The chopper bowl can be filled up to at least 2/3 and everything gets chopped very nicely. (My favorite use for it is making a fresh carrot salad: finely chop carrots and some garlic, coarsely chop walnuts, add some dried cranberries, and mix everything with mayo or any salad dressing).
The only minor problem is getting attachments off of the motor portion when you are done, you have to give it a couple of wiggles while pressing two buttons before it separates. But I won't even take a star off for it. It is a very solid and versatile tool - a piece of kitchen joy!
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this blender for a few weeks and I absolutely love it. It's small enough that it easily slips into a drawer with my other cooking utensils, doesn't require a lot of counter space, and has enough power to handle everyday mixing tasks. I also really like that it came with its own bag allowing me to store the mixer on a ceiling or wall rack.
UPDATE: I bought one of these for my mom about six months ago and she initially more-or-less shrugged and tossed it in a cabinet without giving it a second thought. A month or so later she decided to use it to make smoothies instead of breaking out the "big blender" and she can't stop raving about this little hand-held wonder tool. A few days later I noticed her "big blender" was stored in a very inconvenient location in the pantry. When I asked her about it, she said didn't use the "big blender" any more.
Customer Review: My Magic Wand In The Kitchen Summary: 5 Stars
The KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender, White is quickly becoming my favorite kitchen gadget. It's fast and handy, cleans up in a breeze so I can move on to whatever I need it for next, then slip it back in the bag and put it away.
I rate the KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender, White right up there with my KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red (except mine is white) at the top of my kitchen essentials list.
If you love to cook and want to save time in the kitchen, this is the perfect multi use blender for you.
Customer Review: Handy but has its issues Summary: 2 Stars
We have owned our Kitchen Aid hand blender for probably 2 years with light to moderate use. It's very handy to have but has some issues, including longevity.
Ours just died. It stopped working completely. Before that we had issues with the chopper attachment. It was impossible to open the lid on it unless you pried it open with a knife. The main blender attachment also got stuck somehow so it wouldn't turn. I don't know if it got liquid in it that then jammed it or what. Like some of the other negative reviews our little end cap came loose.
For the money spent on this device I think there are better options. I'm looking to replace but not with a Kitchenaid. we love the large commercial mixer but the hand blender, not so much. If anyone has recommendations, I would love to hear them.
Customer Review: Excellent blender and chopper Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the KitchenAid hand blender as a gift for my sister-in-law and used it for a week while visiting her. I have a Braun that I love and wanted to give her the same but they weren't available anywhere so I took a risk and bought her the KitchenAid hoping that it would be close. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed. The KitchenAid was actually a bit better. It has several speeds so I could easily grind up frozen parmesan and the containers were larger and nicer than my Braun stuff. I have to say I was initially very disappointed not to be able to find the Braun on the market but if I had to replace my own blender I would buy this exact KitchenAid product. It's excellent for blending soups, whipping cream, chopping veggies, etc. etc. It really makes so many cooking tasks easier.
