This was a replacement for my Braun (which did NOT die, just moved.)
I ended up buying the chopper attachment (separately) which is really great, easy to clean. I use it EVERY DAY.
Pros:
- Easy to clean (stainless base)
- Variable speed (very useful)
- Powerful
Cons:
- Does not come with a wall hanger

I bought this several months ago & have had no trouble with it. I make a blueberry blender most nights & have had no trouble with it. The rubber behind the blade is a little difficult to get completely clean, so I have to limit it to just my stuff b/c I'm allergic to milk & use it with my soy milk shakes. Stuff gets under the little ledge thingy there. Overall, it's great!Customer Review: Silent and powerful

Recently bought this product and have used it only on a few occasions. Have noticed two things. One It is relatively silent. Earlier I had a cheap low powered stick and that was a lot noisier. secondly it is extremely powerful. Does my blending job quickly. I have used it with hot ingredients and so far no problems.
Would have rated it 5 star if I had used it for longer.

Can't believe I waited this long to buy an immersion blender. I've never used one before this so I don't have anything to compare it to - unless a standard blender counts. For many uses there is no comparison. This immersion blender is fast, easy, handy and the red color is very cool. If you have room in your kitchen for one more gadget this one would be a good investment.Customer Review: GREAT PRODUCT

As usual you can't beat a Kitchen Aid product and this is no exception. This is the first immersion blender I have purchased and I am glad I chose this one. It is powerful, easy to use and easy to clean, and the shopping experience thru Amazon can't be beat. If you are undecided as to which product to select or to purchase through Amazon, dont hesitate.
