The KitchenAid hand blender is a quality cooking tool. It is all that was promised in the description and more. So far this blender has outlasted two other name brand hand blenders who's names I will not mention but that were less expensive untill you add up the combined cost of both. I expect many more years of reliable service from this appliance just as we have come to expect from KitchenAid stand mixers.Customer Review: Trust the reviews, they are "spot on".

This one was rated top notch, and it is that good. Solid, quality construction. The red one is beautiful, as a gift for my husband it was a hit, he loves it. and it gets use almost every other day. It is a-most-have-tool, we have been able to enjoy so many different things, from delicious bean purees (making our own Hummus, sauces, refried beans, and many ethnic dishes),to sweet treat with yogurts, soups, etc.Customer Review: Kitchenaid Hand Blender

Works as exactly as desired. I've used it to puree soups (done in a couple of minutes) and to make homemade pasta sauce (blend together canned tomatoes, olive oil, herbs) and it worked great for both recipes. Clean-up was a snap, too. Before getting the immersion blender, I used a regular blender to puree my recipes - time consuming and messy. This blender is longer, heavier and not as "wieldy" as I expected. It has a lot of torque and works so vigorously that it develops a vacuum in the bottom of the container and feels stuck, although it did no harm to the food or the container. It made a nice fruit smoothy, but the strawberry seeds were still noticeable to the tooth. I plan to try it on butternut squash soup.

Another great KitchenAid product. This immersion blender is quick, efficient and powerful. It's easy to clean, easy to use and feels solid and professional in your hand. Blended soups, spreads, dips, etc., are made quite easily and thoroughly with this machine.
I can't think of anything negative to say to give a more balanced review. This is simply an excellent blender.
