Well-made, easy to handle KitchenAid Hand Blender -- totally satisfactory. Easy to use, several speeds; easy and quick to separate motor section from blending section for washing under running water. Not too heavy as some have stated and not cumbersome. Since it separates in two parts as I stated above, I store in a kitchen drawer which takes little space. Blending super. Can't say anymore. Don't hesistate to purchase this quality product which lives up to KitchenAid quality.Customer Review: Stick with a regular blender

I wanted this to work. I make soup a couple of times a month and wanted to be able just to blend in the pot rather than tediously using the blender acouple of times. I also knew that Cooks Illustrated rated this product highly, as far as hand blenders go. It just doesn't work nearly as well as a regular blender. All the soups were still grainy until I would put them in the regular blender. What a disappointment and a waste of my money.Customer Review: This is a Man's Mixer

I use at work every day, a Braun mixer. I like that one and it works for me. I needed another at home and chose the KitchenAid, based on its reviews. This is a serious GUY TOOL. It blends my mixes lickety split, small ice cubes and all; and the stem is easier to lick :-) Much more power than the Braun. One very minor downside, the stem disconnect (push two buttons) not as convenient as the Braun (twist stem). Overall, this product rocks!Customer Review: Great tool!

I am very happy with the KitchenAid KHB100ER Hand Blender, Empire Red. It makes very smooth purees right in the cooking vessel and is so easy to clean. Powerful, variable speed motor for any task. This hand held blender is soooo much easier to use and clean than my traditional blender. Cooking a creamed vegetable or lentil soup is a snap with this handy little gizmo. No messy pouring from pot to blender to pot. Just stick the hand held blender directly into the pot of cooked veggies and blend away. In seconds you have a pot of lovely pureed soup. And best of all, you know exactly what is in that soup!
