Customer Review: Nice heavy but inconvenient to set

This timer is very well built and heavy like other kitchen aid products.
It is time consuming to set just like everyone says. However......
It is fast if you use the same time for batches.
Say you want top do 5 batches of cookies for 15 minutes each.
After you take the time to enter 15 minutes and the first batch beeps, You hold the reset button and 15 minutes will automatically enter.
You can do this even after you put it away. Hold reset, 15 minutes is automatically set and you are ready to go.
It's a shame the timer is difficult to change time setting.
It's awesome except for the one thing that will make you return it, time setting.
It will not blow away if you use it outside.

Digital timer with rotating chrome setting dialMany professional cooks say they can tell when food is ready by the aroma. For those who haven't got that well-honed sense of smell to rely on, there are timers. This KitchenAid model combines the large, chunky look of old-fashioned, spring-wound timers with the latest in sleek, digital technology. About the size of an orange, the KG150 is white with a chrome twist dial for a crisp professional look.
To activate the timer, press either button or twist the dial. As the numbers for hours, minutes or seconds blink; twist the dial to set the respective times. The timer may be set for periods up to 9 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. Just press START and the countdown begins. An insistent electronic tone sounds until the STOP button is pressed. The timer's memory holds the last setting entered; to reset timer to that same time, hold the START button down for 5 seconds.
To clean the timer, wipe with a damp cloth; do not submerge. The KitchenAid KG150 runs on one D battery (included). The timer measures 3-1/2, by 4, by 4 inches. Setting instructions are printed on the back of the timer. --Garland Withers
