Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KFP750OB 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processor, Onyx BlackCustomer Review: Food Processor bowl isn't made to last like Cuisinart! Summary: 3 Stars
The bowl, top and plunger system developed stress fractures and cracks in less than a year of use. the polycoarbonate material they used in manufacturing is brittle. At the top of the bowl the fractures are such that it has made the use of the processer dangerous as I am afraid that pieces will break off and go into whatever Iam processing. I called the company and they said that parts would replaced if under a year old. I called just over a year as I had too many other things to do...I don't know if they will replace. I even offered to send the bowl so that they could see what the problem was. The replacement powls are about $40.00 plus shipping, so I am not happy that this might have to be a yearly thing. I never replaced my workbowl for cuisinart-worked fine for 15 years!
Customer Review: It's terrific and the customer support makes all the difference! Summary: 5 Stars
This processor is sturdy and grates cheese and processes things with ease. I just love it. It's more expensive than some of the less powerful models but I find that kitchenaid stands behind their products. One example. I lost the ring that goes on the meat grinder attachement to the kitchenaid mixer and they sent me another one for free! They didn't even charge me shipping. They don't antiquate their technologies so you can get parts for old equipment. I can't tell you how many food processers I have had to toss because one of the plastic parts got lost or broken. It's worth it to pay a little more. You have an excellent powerful mixer food processer and it will last a long time because the support is there. I asked myself - why did I wait so long to get one??
Customer Review: 12-cup KitchenAid Food Processor Summary: 5 Stars
I read every review agonizing over this purchase because the dimensions shown were too tall for my counter. I measured the machine in a retail store, and it was much shorter than the dimensions listed on Amazon (and twice the price). Amazon suggested I contact the seller, gave me the 800 number. KitchenAid's customer service rep said it was 16 and 1/8 inches high, an easy fit on the counter. I've used it several times and am totally pleased with it. A great price, fast, quiet, and all the accessories and other blades are included. The storage case is quite nice, well organized and compact. This machine out-classes my old Cusinart by leaps and bounds. Good purchase, and good advice and service from Amazon, delivered in two days.
Customer Review: simply outstanding Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot imagine a better unit. It has large capacity. It is powerful. It has every attachment/blade you can imagine. It is sturdy. It is well built. The buttons are protected from getting dirty/compromised. The geometry of the bowl seems to move the food around so that dicing is pretty uniform throughout the contents of the bowl - as good or better than any other food processor I have seen/used (and I have used several as I always help out in the kitchen at family holidays and therefore get to use the high end kitchen appliances of many relatives). What more could you want? Simply a great value for the price. This is probably the best food prep appliance purchase decision I have ever made in my 30+ years of adulthood!
Customer Review: heavy duty processor Summary: 5 Stars
after reading consumer reports and many reviews, I tracked down multiple prices for this processor and finally ordered it here on Amazon. Even on amazon the price differed, so spend some time...it saves you almost $50!
Well worth the money, this machine is heavy duty...and comes with more attachments that I'll probably ever use, which is a vast improvement over what I had...and that machine lasted for 20 years!
My advice is think ahead -- this is something you'll have for a long time if you take care of it...and I'm happy that I made the choice for this model over some of the others recommended. It's quieter than I expected, and takes up some room, but it looks like this should last forever!
