Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KFP750OB 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processor, Onyx BlackCustomer Review: Good product, helpful customer service Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this food processor a little over 3 years ago and have been very happy with it the whole time.
About a week ago, I had a problem where it wasn't assembled properly and turned on anyway: it should not have been able to do this, it damaged itself and posed a safety hazard in doing so. I called Customer Service, and explained the problem, and, within 10 minutes, the helpful representative on the line had agreed that it shouldn't do that, and that they would send me a new unit, along with a prepaid shipping label with which to ship back the damaged unit and that it should arrive in 3-5 days.
A company can't entirely prevent malfunctions. This is the best customer service experience I have had in years. I recommend KitchenAid products on the strength of this experience alone.
Customer Review: Great Machine Summary: 4 Stars
I received it in 2 days which was a nice surprise when I was given a 5-7 day quote. It came well packaged so no damage was done. When people say it quiet they mean it. Our old processor could be herd 3 doors down. This one my wife can run it without disturbing the kids as they watch TV at low volume basically in the same room less than 10 feet away. It makes short work of anything she throws at it. The only problem she has so far with it is when she uses the smaller bowl, Some of the mix spills into the larger one which means she has to wash it as well. Not a big deal though considering she can dice/slice and shred all of our pizza toppings in under 5 minutes and wash both bowls where as doing it by hand took 45min to an hour.
Love it recommend it to anyone, it's worth its wait in gold.
Customer Review: YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Best appliance in my kitchen! I bought this food processor over a year ago and it still runs as good as the day I bought it. Blades are still strong and sharp and it still looks like it's new. If you are going back and forth between getting this one or getting a smaller one, get this one-unless you are very short on space. I cook for two and it's not too big for me, plus it has a smaller bowl for the small jobs which is very useful. My absolute favorite use for it? Onions! Just take off the skin and throw them in and this bad boy does the rest. No more tears! Besides chopping veggies, which it does an awesome job of, I've used it for doughs and soups as well. Just a great machine. And it never collects dust because I still use it almost everyday. I don't know how I lived without it for so long. :)
Customer Review: Couldn't be happier Summary: 5 Stars
I got this food processor a little less than a week ago and I could not be happier. I replaced a 25+ year old Hamilton Beach machine so any upgrade from that would have been good, but I'm very happy with my purchase. I have grated cheese, made perfect pie crust, sliced potatoes and cabbage and made a ton of cookie dough and it performed like a champ. I sliced whole potatoes to fry this evening and it didn't even stutter when I pushed them in. I made powdered sugar frosting in the small bowl and didn't get a speck of anything in the larger bowl. I bought this machine and it went on sale three days later. Amazon refunded the difference in the price to me. I put all the parts in the dishwasher and they come out sparkling clean. All in all I'm thrilled with my new food processor.
Customer Review: Well worth it Summary: 5 Stars
This Kitchenaid food processor is a fine piece of equipment.
I've used it for pureeing vegetables and slicing potatoes so far, and everything works well. There was no leakage from the purees, even though the mixture was fairly liquid and exceeded (a little) the "maximum fill" line. I'm glad I bought the 12 c size, anything less would have been too little capacity.
One note of caution, make sure you use the plastic spatula provided with the unit. I was a little disorganised once and used a metal spoon -- although careful with it, I ended up putting a few minor scratches on the work bowl -- not a real issue though. As discussed in earlier reviews, the blades are super sharp, take extra care when handling them.
Overall, it's well worth the price.
