I've owned several food processors over the years, and this one is by far the best I've ever owned. It's amazingly fast, efficient and purrs rather than roars. Even though it is more expensive than others I have bought in the past, I am confident that this one will last due to its quality. I wish I'd have bought a KitchenAid years ago. I would not have bought this item if I realized that you can only put a small amount of liquid in the bowl. The blade sits on a shaft that is open and therefore liquid will leak out if you try to remove the bowl from the processor. This was not the case with my last processor so I never realized I needed to worry about this. I can't believe anyone would design an item like this.Customer Review: Kitchenaide 9 cup processor

I originally purchased a 7 cup processor without doing much research on it. It only came with one reversible blade. I took that back and bought this one. It was marked down (by almost half) because the box had a mark on it. Big deal. The processor has been awesome. I have used both the main bowl for salsa and the mini bowl for stir fry. When my elderly Braun food processor bit the dust, I really wanted to replace it with a Kitchen Aid because I have been so satisfied with my Kitchen Aid mixers (hand and stand). The 9-cup size is just right for the two of us, especially with the 4-cup mini-bowl. It does a bang-up job, is easy to clean, and the white looks great in my blue and white kitchen. I own a 12 cup kitchen aid processor and I was so happy with it that I thought my mother could use one on a smaller scale. I purchased the 9 cup model for my mother. After using my mother's I realized I could have save myself quite a few bucks because unless you are cooking for a crowd the 9 cup model is perfect size.
