Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KFP740CR 9-Cup Food Processor with 4-Cup Mini Bowl, Chrome

Customer Review: Great Food Processor
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently bought a KitchenAid food processor. Haven't used it for dough, but have used the small bowl for a couple of things, and didn't find that it got the big bowl dirty - may depend on what you're making.
Found that it has plenty of power, and yet stays put on the countertop, unlike those I have seen on TV that have to be held in place.
I did quite a bit of research before my purchase, all the recommendations I found said to buy KitchenAid. I ended up with the one that America's Test Kitchen liked and am very happy with my choice.

Customer Review: Can't imagine life without this
Summary: 5 Stars

When I first bought this it only saw occasional use, really just to puree soups and such stuff...but as time has gone on I have found more and more uses for it, until it has become an indispensible tool that I use almost every time I cook and I can't imagine how I ever lived without it. I cook better, more ambitious dishes because of it.

I find it to be pretty much the perfect size, and the small insert bowl is very useful for smaller jobs. I use the small bowl almost as much as the big one, if not more. Great feature.

Customer Review: Excellent food processor, powerful and quiet.
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this food processor for about 6 months, I bought it based on the good reviews here.

It has lived up to it's excellent reviews. It's very powerful and surprisingly quiet. I particularly appreciate the fact that it's dishwasher safe. I've had it on the bottom rack of the dishwasher at the highest heat settings and it comes out sparkling clean with not a hint of wear or damage.

I've had far more expensive food processors in the past that didn't perform anywhere near as well as the Kitchenaid.

Customer Review: Great product
Summary: 5 Stars

This processor replaced an older Cuisinart that had seen better days. My new processor is being used daily as I am slowly going to a raw diet. You'd be amazed what you can do with raw food and a processor. The most amazing thing I've done so far is process frozen bananas to make "ice cream.".....pretty amazing. For my uses, a processor has to be very powerful, and this one is. I have also used it to make "brownies." Any less powerful processor would not have been able to handle the thick mass that became the brownies.

Customer Review: Fast, but messy
Summary: 3 Stars

This is the first full size food processor I've ever owned & it hasn't been quite the time saver that I thought it would be. It shreds, slices, & chops in just seconds which makes prep work go quickly, but I didn't expect the clean up to be so much work. And unlike some other reviewers, when I use the 4 cup bowl the large bowl needs cleaning too. I'll continue to use it for big prep work tasks & I plan to try making bread dough in it, but for smaller jobs I'm going back to using my knife & a little elbow grease.
