Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KFP720OB 7-Cup Food Processor with 3-Cup Mini Bowl, Onyx Black

Customer Review: Every day necessity
Summary: 5 Stars

Thankfully I have a large amount of counter space, because I keep this out and use it daily. I love that it includes mini bowl, which I use to make small amounts of baby food daily. I have used the large bowl to make pastry dough, which it does beautifully! The machine is also VERY quiet, my husband didn't even know it was running the first time I used it. I love that I can prepare fresh food for the baby, quickly allowing her to eat the same foods that we are eating, and I haven't had to buy even one jar of "baby food." I'm glad that I didn't waste my money on a baby food mill. I don't like to have appliances that only do one thing.

Customer Review: luv it
Summary: 5 Stars

We have worked this machine to death (figuratively) and it is awesome. I used it for baby food (ie steam a whole bag of carrot in chunks, puree in processor with steam liquid as needed and spoon into ice cube trays, pop out and store in freezer bags). We use this as a mixer and it handles bread dough and cookie dough very well. Just do the chocolate chips by hand b/c the blade will mince them. It doesn't cream butter and sugar very well though. Is great with making nut butters. It holds liquid well without leaking a consideration if you plan on pureeing soups. Easy clean in dishwasher.

Customer Review: Excellent product
Summary: 4 Stars

I just recently purchased this food processor to replace one that had a broken blade that I could not replace. I read reviews and this machine was rated very good so I purchased it. I must say that so far, I love this machine. It is very quiet compared to my old one and also on the old machine when slicing vegetables, big chunks would not get sliced because there was too much room between the cover and the blades so the food would just spin around, not with this one, everything gets sliced. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a food processor.

Customer Review: It has a home on my counter
Summary: 4 Stars

I've been enjoying my food processor over the past few weeks. I've been using it to dice, slice, puree, shred, blend, etc. It is very powerful and not too loud. It does a great job with purees and blending. It is a little too powerful for dicing. Onions and such get pulverized by the time all the pieces are contacted by the blade. The pulse feature helps somewhat, and small batches help also. It slices well, but the slices are very thin. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and plan to use it at least a few times a week.

Customer Review: Love it for making baby food!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this item to make baby food for my 6 month old son. I debated between this and a Cusinart, which my mom has, (and loves as well). I got the KitchenAid because they were offering a $20 rebate at the time. I was a bit worried about only having one speed (on/off) and a pulse, but it is great! I just put everything in, hit ON, let it do its magic, and I have tons of baby food to use and freeze. I like that it is so simple. I can tend to my son if needed while in the kitchen making his food! It is very easy to clean as well.
