Just used this to make pasta sauce. Big mistake. The holes in the lid, for adding dry and wet item, also allow your food to go flying!
Yes, I could put my hand over it, but the point is, it's a silly design.

This is my second one! The first one lasted 7 years, then the plastic lid cracked and broke. I tryed to just replace the lid, but it was cheeper to buy a NEW one! LOVE LOVE LOVE this item!!!
