I read the instruction booklet and the KitchenAid KCM511 has performed as advertised. No problems and I'm very pleased with it. I highly recommend the KCM511 coffee maker to anyone looking for a stylish, high quality coffee maker. I suggest previous reviewers learn how to read and follow instructions. Traits that should have been learned in the fourth grade.Customer Review: Please think twice!!!

I ignored the reviews and bought this for my in laws as a gift. What a mistake. If you put 10 cups of water in the pot you get anywhere from 4 to 7 cups of coffee after brewing. I don't know where the water goes but it doesn't end up in the pot. This is a nice looking machine but Kitchen Aid has ignored quality control. Thank god Loews took it back.Customer Review: Poorly designed

KitchenAid mixers are great. I have other kitchen items with their brand name on it and they're good too. This is just poorly designed. If it were a $15 coffee pot from the big box store you probably wouldn't complain too much. The lid on the Carafe is so poorly designed, that in just a few short months, the flanges on the cafafe broke off, rendering the lid practically useless. The company would replace the lid, but not the carafe which was the problem. I'll not buy another KitchenAid coffee maker.Customer Review: Great Coffee Maker

Makes perfect coffee... Some poeple have said that the machine over flows, well guess what it's not the machine's fault, they filled it too high... If you know how to operate a coffee maker and not over fill it, you too will get perfect coffee from Kitchen Aid... 5 STARS!!!
