Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware SetCustomer Review: Happy with purchase Summary: 5 Stars
After using the same cookware for 20+ years I decided it was time to replace it.I did alot of research on amazon.com and other sites and although there were many sets to choose from the KitchenAid Gourmet 10pc caught my eye because it was one of the few sets that included the 1,2,and 3 quart covered saucepans.Which in my opinion is more important than the skillets.I haven't had this set long, but I already know that I made the right choice.
Customer Review: Better than expected Summary: 3 Stars
The quality of the pans was definitely higher than basic department store stock, though not quite what you would find in the better brands at Bed, Bath and Beyond or a kitchen supply store. The pans are also a bit smaller than I expected. Though the size was represented accurately on the advertisement, they were just a touch smaller than the better sets purchaseable at a kitchen store. Very good value for the money though.
Customer Review: Good value and durable Summary: 4 Stars
I've owned this set for three years, and love the quality and durability. They heat evenly, and the nonstick surface is excellent. If you buy this set, DO NOT put any items in the dishwasher (including the lids); the detergent and environment is simply too harsh for them. I have always hand washed mine, and all the pieces still look brand new. This is a great value, and should last for a long time if taken care of.
Customer Review: Basic Cooking not for Entertaining Summary: 3 Stars
My sister and I purchased this product as a gift for our mother. She loves the non-stick surfaces and the ability to store the lids in limited spaces, however I think she was disappointed with the size of the pots and frying pan. Very small compared to her older cookware. Was not anxious to get rid of her old oversized cookware as she often entertains a large family. Is perfect for family of two.
Customer Review: Good stuff Summary: 4 Stars
So far I've enjoyed this cookware. They say you don't need cooking spray and it's true, weird and true.I cooked a portabello mushroom with no spray, and no problem. Clean up is easy, nothing has stuck so far even when I've made sticky things like rice and didn't clean it until two days later while it sat in the sink... yeah, I can be kinda lazy. I like the cookware recommend this product.
