Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid FPPA Mixer Attachment Pack for Stand MixersCustomer Review: Very useful attachments! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered the Kitchen Aid mixer attachment pack. I have used all of the attachments and they work just wonderfully. I have apple trees and the fruit/vegetable strainer makes applesauce with very little effort. I just cut the apples in quarters and cook them in a big kettle on the stove and run them through the strainer. It takes out peelings, seeds, and cores and I end up with perfect applesauce. It's wonderful!
Customer Review: EASY & CONVENIENT Summary: 5 Stars
I love the attachments that go with the Kithchen Aid Stand Mixer. The are easy to attach and to take off and clean. They work well - the machine is very powerful. I haven't used the sausage maker yet but for those of you who do intend to use it also remember to buy the tips for it. They are inexpensive (and should come with the attachments, but don't) and are a must.
And what a great price!!!
Customer Review: so-so Summary: 3 Stars
I need to replace my food processor and decided that the attachments to my Kitchen Aid mixer would do the trick; however, it only half does the trick. The slicer and grinder seem to work fine on the things that I have tried but the shredder has been somewhat of a disaster. Not what I was expecting. Cabbage and zucchini seems to get caught between the cone and the main housing thus coming out in chunks.
Customer Review: Not what was advertised Summary: 2 Stars
These attachments are great. However, the package i recieved did not come with the wooden plunger that is pictured. You need to have this to use the food grinder, and the food strainer. Nothing else (like wooden spoons, etc.) work for this purpose. Make sure you ask about that wooden plunger if you decide to purchase.
Other than that, the product would have been great and a great deal.
Customer Review: Kitchen Aid quality - cheapened slightly by the new plastic pusher Summary: 4 Stars
The items seem solid and well designed as expected, although the new plastic plunger seems to cheapen the package. It is marketed as being more convenient and sanitary, but the wood gave it a quality touch. Another courseness screen for the strainer attachment would be welcome, and its recommended limitations in the literature seem a little offputting (niagara grapeskins (yes) versus concord (no)!?.
