I had the old version of kitchenaid's garlic press. Was happy with it, but a friend broke it. This one is harder to use. the hinge on it is loose which makes it harder to crunch the handles together. Also, the part with the holes in it is separate. Where that may be better for cleaning, I am pretty sure it will disappear one day renderijng the product totally useless. It does the job, but i would look for a more solid product.
