I have wanted this glass bowl since I spotted the KitchenAid KSM155GBCA Artisan Designer Series in the store last Christmas. This bowl came out in March 2010 to purchase separately. The look and feel of this bowl is quite the upgrade to my KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM150PSEER Empire Red 220 volt. The bowl is heavy and durable and my favorite feature is the pouring spout. I didn't have a specific cover for my stainless bowl, so this lid is nice to have especially when making sugar cookies or frosting that needs to be refrigerated. It also works much better with my wisk beater than my stainless bowl, as I don't have to scrape down the bottom. It is an added bonus that I can SEE whether or not something needs to be scraped.
I got this and SideSwipe for KitchenAid Tilt-Head Stand Mixers for Christmas from my MIL. Very nice. I had to adjust the screw in the back when I switched to that blade, but I think that was simply because of the blade. Overall I am very happy with this product and happy that I have a new reason to mix again! It is quite the upgrade.
