Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid 2-Quart Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless Steel Teakettle

Customer Review: Retro-appearance lets this toaster blend in with like appliances
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this because we replaced our stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher in December. I wanted a toaster to match. This looks very nice with all the other new appliances, and I like the bagel button. It's a very handy feature.

The one drawback is that the trays pull out from the back; this means I have to turn the toaster all the way around to empty the trays. It would have been much more convenient if the trays could be pulled out from the front.

Customer Review: Best Toaster I have ever owned
Summary: 5 Stars

I am really happy with the KitchenAid Toaster and glad that I purchased it even though it was more expensive than I originally planned, but it's well worth it. I have used toaster ovens for years because I make home-made bread and they seemed to toast the bread the best. But the last oven I purchased was awful and even flamed up a couple of times when I used it. So I decided I needed to try a toaster. This toaster has toasted the home-made bread wonderfully.

Customer Review: Noticeable improvement over our last toaster
Summary: 5 Stars

This KitchenAid works as advertised. Even toasting with good darkness control. The bagel feature is truly outstanding. It properly toasts the flat inner half while leaving the outer surface only slightly toasted. Outside remains spongy, the way I like my bagels. Great for English Muffins too if you put it on "bagel" mode. It's very sturdily built and, although we've only had it a couple months, it seems as if this will last for years.

Customer Review: Nice toaster!
Summary: 4 Stars

It's a few extra bucks but, given the features and performance, worth the difference. The bagel toasting option allows for differential browning on the inside and outside of a bagel or English muffin...a nice feature that enhances the taste of the item toasted. Nicely styled. Easy controls. Sounds simple, but I conducted a toaster search of some weeks and it is not very easy to get all of these things in a reliable toaster.

Customer Review: Great Toaster!
Summary: 5 Stars

Our family of five generally kills a toaster within 6 months of purchase. We have tried practically every brand from Black and Decker to CuisineArt but none have ever lasted more than 6 months.

Judging from the quality of the KitchenAid, I anticipate it will beat the family toaster survival rate and live well beyond. It is a well made, albiet large, toaster that should last quite a while.
