Customer Review: Think OUTSIDE the Muffin Pan
Summary: 4 Stars
A great buy because this pan has many uses OTHER than for baking muffins:
* The individual cups are great EGG POACHERS--butter cup before filling with egg and remove from boiling water with a slotted spoon. Run a butter knife around egg before popping out. (check out cost of silicone egg poachers!)
* The little cups are great for FREEZING SMALL AMOUNTS--like baby food, applesauce, leftovers.
* These make great little mini PREP BOWLS--for spices, small amounts of other ingredients, etc.
* Make POPSICLES or creamsicles with juices and/or yogurt and fruits -- just add wooden stick or plastic spoon
* Stack like CUSTARD CUPS (yes, great for individual servings of custard).
* FREEZE WHIPPED CREAM (leftover or otherwise) in nice sized portions.
When you use for freezing, they can be easily popped off so frozen items can be put into a zip bag.
Put the frame somewhere else--can be stored vertically. You will find many Handy uses for the cups!
