I purchased these hip and retro magnetic kitchen timers to keep on my microwave. I then put sticky notes under the timer that I'm using so that I can keep track of which timer goes to which pot (or oven as the case may be).
They are adorable and I've gotten several comments on them, but they are not the most reliable timers. The turquoise one broke right away. The red and yellow ones work most of the time, but don't always make a "ding" sound when the time is out. That can obviously be disaterous in the kitchen. I use them while in the kitchen cooking other things, so I'll notice when they stop ticking. If I'm only cooking one thing and not in the kitchen, I use a different timer to ensure it dings.
Perhaps the fox run magnetic time Fox Run Retro Kitchen Timer with Magnet, Mint Greenmay be a better option. I'm not sure if they're reliable though, as I don't own them.
