My daughter loves books and I was looking for a bookshelf to keep her books organized and that she would be interested in and able to see the book covers. I love this bookshelf, just what I was looking for. This bookshelf holds quite a few books (about 25-30) hard and softcover comfortably. My daughter finds the book she wants easily. I bought this for my 1 year old. Some of the reviews say you can't fit many books, and some say you can. You actually can get quite a few in there. Depth wise, you can fit 3 thick baby books into each pocket, so depending on the size of the book, 6-9 books a pocket.
It is a sturdy shelf that has a wonderfully small footprint in the room.

This is a great book holder, if you're only wanting to store a few books. It won't hold near as many books as a book case. It's great if you you have thinner books, but if you have real thick board books like we do then the pockets fill up quickly. It's very cute and seems to be of good quality, but I would consider it "mini storage" for books.Customer Review: it was okay

this is good for a single childs bedroom. Some of the holes were not wide enough so putting the screws in were difficult and this in turn made some of the wood near the holes break. Company was very good in sending out replacement boards for the cracked pieces but I ended up returning the item. Too small for the needs that I needed.Customer Review: Tidy Books

Our 20 month old uses this book shelf with ease. It keeps the books from being all over the floor. It fits more books than I had originally thought once I put it together. It sits nice against the wall and my daughter gets books in and out of it by herself. It was easy to put together and the height is perfect for her.
