Customer Review: Outstanding product... but can be a battery sucker.
Summary: 4 Stars
The product quality and design deserves the title of I-scale. It looks and feel like and I-phone or an I-pod or and I-pad. If Apple was placing weight sensitive legs to their device is would be quite similar.
Except that it has no on/off switch and no battery charger.
It works with not-so-easy-to-find batteries and the ones that came with the product lasted less than a week. The next ones did'n last much either because I had this scale in a "busy part of my kitchen cabinet".
I assume the activity arround the scale was causing the device to be "on" most of the time and sucked up all the battery juice quickly.
I was glad I kept the packaging and now I store this scale in a weel packaged and quiet area and do not get the battery problem anymore.
Beside that it is an extremely well design and usefull tool for somebody interested in serious cooking or precise measuring (I make my own soap also).
In addition the multiple measuring option (ounces, grams, ml, etc) is an excellent tool for someone looking at international recipes.

The KINTREX SCL0625 Digital Kitchen Scale is a highly accurate food scale that easily measures ingredients directly on the tempered glass platform, in a bowl, or on a plate. The scale's innovative touch sensitive buttons are very easy to operate. The large backlit LCD display is easy to read from a distance. The scale measures in 0.1-ounce (imperial) and 1-gram (metric) increments for accuracy up to the 11lb (5000g) capacity of the scale. The scale features a Tare or offset function for weighing multiple ingredients. The elegant black glass platform is easy to clean and durable. This scale measures 9.1 inches by 5.9 inches by 0.6 inches.
