Customer Review: A Low-end Grinder

This grinder seems geared toward the lower-end of the grinder market so, don't expect too much.
I found the grind quality to be Very inconsistent. I was getting pieces of almost every grind size - chunks in come cases. No matter what the setting, there'd be very fine grounds that were too tiny for gold mesh filters and not good for French Press. The largish grounds made the brews rather weak. The beans seemed to be crushed or pulverized rather than ground up and would always produce thin shavings of the skin off the bean. There was no happy or middle ground (no pun intended) to be found.
Some reviewers mention using for daily grinding but I do not recommend this machine for every day grinding as it can be time consuming and frustrating. My needs are for grinding up to eight different types of coffees that I can choose from, every/any day, at the drop of a hat. So the time spent attempting to clean between grinds is not feasible for me. Timer not lengthy enough if trying to grind a full or mostly full hopper.
Noise level: Grinding is noisy business, plain and simple.

I did not keep the grinder long enough to experience any type of operational failure. I returned it quickly, Amazon refunded my money, I then purchased a hi-end burr grinder at about four times the price - was well worth it!
