Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Joyce Chen 51-0662 Saladacco Spiral Slicer, WhiteCustomer Review: this thing works!!I Summary: 5 Stars
I'm usually delighted in a product that I've read generally positive things about and then ordered from a site that had some negative reviews...this is no exception. The negative comments have all been proven wrong by my use of this wonderful device that has given me a whole new dimension of eating in the world of raw foods. Please don't hesitate to purchase this Saladacco if you want to taste amazingly appetizing noodles made with raw zucchinis!
Customer Review: I must be lucky Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this and it does a great job 80&% bof the time.. sometimes I end up with this 2 inch wide flat piece of striated zuchini coming out but for the most part it's been pretty decent. Yes it does require you start with it centered and flat but I've even worked past the squared off thing for the most part. It does require even firm pressure as you turn the handle..maybe no for a person with tendonitis.
Peace

Customer Review: half the people don't like it , me among them Summary: 1 Stars
Compared with the "spirooli" or "World Cuisine Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer" or Benriner, this is balky and hard to use in a class of finicky tools.
Hard to center and demands short firm trimmed chunks to begin to get it right.
Julienne blade is plastic and hard to position.
thickness is non adjustable
Its advantage is being compact and for potato and apple slicing it does ok
Customer Review: I think for what it is, it's awesome Summary: 5 Stars
I have had mine for approximately 7 years, and I think it's a great device. I use it primiarly to make zucchini into "pasta", and yes there is a little 1" slice left over that cannot be sliced, but so what? I usually take my remaining pieces and chop them up by hand. Big deal!
It also works great with carrots and daikon radish and will not produce "mush" when you use firmer vegetables.
Customer Review: Very Pleased With This Item! Summary: 5 Stars
I was a bit nervous ordering the Joyce Chen Spiral Slicer b/c reviewers either loved it or hated it. Well, I'm one of the ones who LOVE it! It's super easy to use & it really does make perfect spaghetti noodles. I've recently started eating a lot of gluten-free items, so my husband & I frequently make zucchini noodles when we want an easy (& quick) dinner; just add tomato sauce & chicken for a great meal.
