It's hard to get excited about something so simple. But it is a really great tool. I not only use it for stir frying, but also for scrambling eggs, making french or italiah dishes, anything that is cooked in a skillet. The angle is extremely helpful in pushing food around and turning items, and the handle is very strong. Be carefuly about leaving it too close to a flame, though. I didn't realize that the pot next to the one that had the spatula in it was as high as it was and I scortched mine. Since they are so reasonably priced, I will buy two just to have on hand.

Description of Joyce Chen 13-Inch Burnished Bamboo Stir Fry Spatula

Joyce Chen's burnished bamboo spatula is stronger than wood and will not swell, split, or absorb moisture. Safe for use on non-stick surfaces or in high-heat applications. The bamboo is treated through a special oven-roasting process, resulting in its beautiful honey colour. The 13 Inch Spatula is great for mixing, sauteing, frying or just about any other application you can imagine.
