Customer Review: Too flexible/bendy

I love the fact that you can lay them on the countertop without making a mess. I love the fact that they're not metal and can be used on nonstick surfaces. But as another reviewer points out, there is no grippiness on the tongs, and the worst part is that they're too flexible, making it a real challenge to pick up anything heavy and/or slippery. I was pan-roasting chicken for coq au vin, and had a helluva time picking up the chicken with these - had to resort to my old steel/rubber tongs. Even though those don't have grippiness either, at least they're stiff enough to grab the chicken without bending and slipping.
