This product gets an A+ for keeping the bugs out of your soda, at least the big ones. It might have some merit as a spill reducer, but can't say it does anything for soda preservation. It earns 2 stars because it is good for something.
If you are interested in preserving soda, I have found that the Beverage Can Resealer product works perfectly and I highly recommend it.

Not only does it leak when a can is turned horizontally, but it leaks when drinking with this lid on! I'd only offer this to a house guest as a practical joke. So it doesn't prevent major spills - it encourages them. This is a completely useless product. It leaks, so air gets in, thus the fizz goes out. Cheaply made, drink-spout-snap-lid will wear out fast. I should have gone with my gut suspicious feeling and stayed away from this item.Customer Review: They work, but why bother

These bottle caps work, but it seems rare that we are left with an open 12 oz can of soda. I ended up opening a can just to put the cap on. I guess they would be better for those who have less thirsty drinkers. Everyone at our house empties their drink! It is winter and not picnic time, so it's a bit unfair to rate these now. I imagine during the summer when we are outside they will be much more useful.Customer Review: top it

I work in an environment where we cant have open cans of soda. I drink diet coke and I love it in a can. Therefore, this has been perfect for me. They stay on the cans and if you knock the cans over, they dont spill.Customer Review: Don't bother

While the lids do keep your items from spilling and marks them when in a shared refridgerator, there is still that flat soda that occurs when sitting for a while. It depends on for what you are making the purchase.
