If you want burgers as thin as you get at most fast food burger joints then this is the patty maker for you. The description reads:
Product Dimensions: 5 x 5 x 1.5 inches
That led me to believe it would make 1-1/2" thick patties. Wrong. That dimension is actually the total height of the entire press including the lift handle. I wish the other people's reviews had been available before I purchased this so I wouldn't have wasted my money. I guess you could always stack them together to achieve the desired patty thickness. Fortunately I purchased another brand that does make thick patties plus it has a few storage containers that you can freeze extras in and it doesn't require patty paper either.
