Customer Review: Best bang for your buck!!!

After a lot of research I purchased this Jiffy Steamer about a year ago. I can't speak more highly of it, it heats up quickly and after some learning how to use it I can steam a shirt within minutes. CAUTION... be very careful while you are learning how to use it because you will burn yourself. A great tip is an oven mitt works great to keep from burning yourself when you got to get in close to put pressure on the clothes. After trying to learn how to use it I did realize it was difficult without having something to be able to apply pressure against the clothes to get the wrinkles out of it. I went back onto Amazon and looking at a steamer board but for $200 I don't think so. So, what I did do is buy a door hanger so I could hang my ironing board against my closet door and use it as a steamer board and it works great and only cost me 6 bucks. Plus, I also purchased a over the door coat hook hanger to hang the clothes in front of the ironing board and that only cost another $5 bucks.

Jiffy J-2000 clothes steamer, 1300 watts, with plastic steam head. Similar to the J-2 model, but with updated design and ergonomics Quick 2-minute heat-up time, high-impact polymer outer housing, 1300 watt heating element die cast in solid brass, 50/60 Hertz electrical system, low profile, easy-to-handle water reservoir, new "no spill" check valve cap for easy filling, over 1.5 hours of steam per filling, color-coded high temperature wiring, fusible link with automatic shut-off for safety, 360 degree swivel casters for mobility, assembly wrench included. Made in the USA.This sturdy, durable wand steamer presses wrinkles out of garments, drapes, and upholstery quicker and easier than an iron, and it doesn't "shine" or scorch fabrics like an iron can. Wand steamers are popular in the fashion and entertainment fields, where wardrobe crews must keep clothing immaculate while working quickly. This 1,300-watt steamer shoots high-velocity steam jets out of a 6-inch-wide head to smooth any fabric from sheer silk to thick wool. A removable water tank provides up to 90 minutes of steaming time. The steamer heats in a minute and then rolls to work on sturdy casters. Garments and drapes can be pressed where they hang, including closets, or garments can be hung from a loop atop the steamer's sturdy aluminum rod, which screws together to rise 62 inches above the floor. For storage, the rod has a holder for the wand.
Indicative of the steamer's quality is the brass fitting attaching the hose to the tank. (A wrench to tighten the fitting is included, and it has magnets for storage on the base.) Other features include an automatic safety shutoff if the steamer runs dry and a stay-cool wand handle. The steamer's plastic base measures 11 inches wide, 17 inches high, and 14-1/2 inches deep.
