Even the best toaster needs help, and these tongs provide a lot. They are well-designed, proportioned, and safe. The wood can be safely used to reach into the toaster slots to pull out the English muffin, and the magnet is placed perfectlyl to cling to the side of a range hood.
This is one of the few gadgets for which I'll make room in my kitchen.

Sometimes an object comes along that is entirely uncomplicated and completely useful! These wooden tongs have a small magnet inset on one side so you can keep them handy (e.g. on the refrig door) - who wants to be rummaging through a drawer full of openers, spatulas, ladles, and corkscrews when you need the toast while it's hot? I bought this product along with the cusinart tongs, with a metal spring hinge. I found the cusinart to be eaiser to use for a wide varity of bread products then these tongs.However the cusinart doesn't have a magnet if that is important to you.Customer Review: kitchen convenience and safety

Handy tongs to prevent burnt fingers getting the bagels out of the toaster. It even has a magnet to put the tongs close to the toaster.
