There's just something downright sensuous about the all-metal Twin Select knives. Curvaceous and perfectly weighted, the knife handle features the same ergonomic design as the Five Star series, but in satin-finish 18/10 stainless steel. The Gemini-twins logo of Zwilling J.A. Henckels is embossed in the end to signify premium quality. The blade is that of the famous Four Star series, constructed from a single piece of high-carbon, no-stain steel in Henckels' new Sigmaforge process, then Friodur ice-hardened for increased corrosion resistance and cutting-edge retention. As a final step, the laser-controlled edge is hand-honed until it's scarily sharp. Select knives practically melt through meats, fish, and fruit, and meet all government regulations for food preparation hygiene (they are so durable they can be sterilized under extreme heat and pressure in an autoclave). Launched in 2001 and made in Germany, the Twin Select series won the prestigious iF Design Award that same year and the Red Dot Design Award the following year. Select knives are covered by a lifetime warranty and, while dishwasher-safe, are best cared for when washed by hand.Block Chef Sets
